Louise Campbell

Louise is a Counselling Psychologist with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Curtin University. Throughout her Master’s course Louise completed placements at Holyoake Drug and Alcohol, Curtin University Counselling and Psychological Services, and Ngala providing her with experience working with clients from infant to adult and older adulthood. On completing her Master’s degree Louise has worked for the past 4 years with Senses Australia, a disability service provider, providing psychological assessment, intervention and support to individuals with a disability and to their families and support networks. Louise’s practice is informed by a number of therapeutic models including attachment, psychodynamic, humanistic/client-centred, cognitive behavioral, existential and family systems theory.

My Experience

Louise offers a holistic, integrated and person-centred approach to support her clients explore the unique issues and life stressors impacting on their health and wellbeing. She believes in the importance of developing and maintaining a strong therapeutic relationship, and provides an empathic and collaborative environment for clients to best meet their individual needs. Louise incorporates into her practice a number of evidence based therapeutic interventions including psychodynamic and interpersonal therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness, schema therapy and imagery re-scripting. She enjoys working with clients of all ages, has specific experience working with clients with Autism, ADHD and anxiety and their families and support networks, and has a particular interest in working with women who are impacted by childhood trauma, as well as clients working through transitional life events, and relationship difficulties.
