Julie is a registered counselling psychologist with over ten years of experience providing therapy to adults, children and adolescents, working therapeutically with individuals, couples, parents and children, and whole families on various presenting issues. Julie offers both face to face  appointments for clients and telehealth appointments for psychological services for people living in rural and remote Australia. Julie understands the challenges and complexities of living in rural and remote areas including: isolation, lack of services and/or vast distances to services, increased need for confidentiality, limited, unreliable, or non-existent internet and phone coverage, complexities of living where people are interconnected and have many ‘hats’ or roles, the tragedy and trauma of events that impact on indivduals and the whole community such as bushfires, droughts, floods, cyclones and suicide.
Julie provides therapy via online telehealth services such as zoom/skype (where reliable internet service is available) or via telephone. Some rural and remote clients may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for online telehealth services if they live (or work) in an approved rural and remote location. To find out if you are eligible for a Medicare rebate talk to your local GP or health clinic.
